Meliton Porto Carras Hotel is situated on the western side of Halkidikis Sithonia
Peninsula, where the verdant slopes of Mt. Meliton stretch down to
mingle with the crystal clear waters of Toroneo Bay, lies the Porto
Carras complex. This fantastic resort stretches along 10 kms of
unspoilt coastline. There are 34 secluded sandy coves, each lapped by
crystal clear waters and each offering a peaceful sanctuary for quiet
enjoyments.
Accommodation
Accommodation at Meliton Porto Carras Hotel
consists of 446 bedrooms and suites, tastefully
decorated with private marble bathrooms, balcony/terrace, direct-dial
telephone, satellite TV, refrigerator, air-conditioning, heating and
24 hour room service. Guests may relax in the comfortable lounges or

Food & Beverage

location of the food & beverage outlets combines ambience with
culinary heritage. The hotel guests can visit the Des Ports (main
restaurant), the Brasserie (a la carte), the Pefko Self Service, the
Cafeteria, the Kafenion, the Sangria Fish Restaurant, the Disco Club,

Carras Hotel offers various morning
and evening events by professionals. The 18-hole, Par 72 championship
Golf Course has been planned and is being rebuilt to present a
challenge to the good golfer and yet not discourage the less
experienced. Clubs, trolley rentals and driving range available. As a
sporting arena, few will deny the comprehensive nature of PORTO CARRAS.
In addition to the two outdoor swimming pools, there are currently
nine tennis courts available, three of them floodlit. A Tennis
instructor is always on hand. Horse riding: riding trails have been
laid all over the estate, enabling visitors to explore the countryside
on horseback. A stable of well-trained horses offers a choice ranging
from spirited mounts for experienced riders to gentle animals suitable
for beginners and children. A riding instructor is available to
supervise and instruct. Scuba diving school: several courses are
offered, such as open water, advanced diver, medical first aid/rescue
course, dive-master. Water sports and mountain bike station. Water
Sports facilities featured at the resort include: water skiing, wind
surfing, rings, banana, parasailing, wind surfing laser sailing,
pedalo boats and other popular sea activities. Fitness club: a fully
equipped fitness club is located in hotel Meliton. Other Sports
facilities include: Two volleyball courts, one football court, one
basketball court, beach volley courts and table tennis.
Other Facilities
Animation program with professional animators is
offered with daytime and evening activities. In the mini club there is
attentive and reliable care during mornings and afternoons by
qualified multi-lingual personnel for children 3-12 years old. A wide
variety of shops lies on the Marina level offering the guest the
opportunity to shop in a relaxing environment. The shops include
Jewellery, mini market, boutique, hairdresser, general store, clothes
and photo shop. In the hotel area guests can also find a TV room, a
play card room, spacious lobby, mini market, cava, open air cinema and
billiard room.
Marina
This unique private Marina of Northern Greece is
the only one that is being awarded the European blue flag every year,
for its clean waters. It is one of the most well sheltered harbours in
Greece, with a 5 m (16 ft) draught and accessible to boats and yachts
up to 45 m (148 ft) long. It has 166 berths, electricity, water,
telephone, shower toilets and other facilities. A Port authority and
the Port captains office is available for any service or information
required as well as security (24 hours) and fuel supply services.
There is also a specialized workshop where yachts can be repaired all
year round. Direct service by fuel tanker is offered upon request.
Each berth has its own coupling point, enabling water to be drawn from
the cooled reservoir. There is a plug-in facility at each berth - 220V
AC, 50Hz. All in all, this Marina represents the ultimate in servicing
technology, with the added advantage of direct small boat entry to the
Meliton Hotel through a unique sail-in entrance.
Conferences
The conference and banqueting facilities are
renowned throughout the business community. The numerous conference
rooms accommodate up to 450 guests and can be fully equipped for all
technical requirements. Two magnificent theatres and a wide range of
additional venues can satisfy the most demanding organizer. The resort
prides itself on its superb catering and quality of service for
private functions. The Gina Bachauer Hall possesses a modern staging
and lighting equipment, with facilities for simultaneous translation
into any combination of up to four languages. The Apollon Theatre has
a seating capacity of more than seven hundred, and is built outdoors
in the traditional Greek amphitheatre style. It can be used for live
performances or for cinema presentations.
