Recently renovated, the Barcelo Santiago Hotel
stands out for its unique architecture and offers a wide variety of
facilities to ensure guests a pleasant stay. The Barcelo Santiago
Hotel is highly recommended for families and it is situated on the
edge of a cliff of volcanic rock, offering guests spectacular views of
the island of La Gomera and the Los Gigantes cliffs.

The Barcelo Santiago Hotel has 406 rooms, each
with a terrace or balcony offering spectacular views of the sea and
the Teide, a fully equipped bathroom, air conditioning, digital music,
safety deposit box with extra charge, radio, hair dryer, mini bar,
satellite TV, and telephone.
Food & Beverage
In the Barcelo Santiago Hotel area there is a
buffet restaurant, show cooking, an A la Carte restaurant, poolside
bar, snack bar and main bar.
Sports & Leisure
Of the areas most outstanding features are its
ideal geographic and climatic conditions, which is excellent for
surfing, fishing, scuba diving, hiking and horseback riding. Leisure
facilities at the Barcelo Santiago Hotel include
two outdoor, freshwater, adult swimming pools, children’s pool and one
heated pool. Nice SPA centre that includes: Jacuzzi, sauna, Turkish
bath, massages, solarium and a gym (extra charge). With extra charge
available is catamaran, squash, bicycles, golf, tennis, windsurf,
sailing and billiard.

In addition to a full entertainment program for
adults, young people, and children, the Barcelo Santiago Hotel has
currency exchange, car rental, laundry, medical service, fax and
postal services, as well as a courtesy bus service to the beach
(Tuesday to Saturday), spacious terraces, hairdressers, several shops
(boutique, souvenir shop, supermarket), excursions, children’s
playground, mini club (ages 4-12), babysitter on request, voltage -
220V and natural park. The hotel is accessible for guests with walking
difficulties.
Useful Information
The Barcelo Santiago Hotel is situated in the
western part of the island of Tenerife, one of the 7 Canary Islands,
45 kilometres from Tenerife Sur Airport, 30 kilometres from Las
Americas beach, and just one kilometre from La Arena and Los Gigantes
beaches. Tenerife has spring-like temperatures throughout the year,
averaging 25.C (77.F).
Building work in vicinity of the hotel
We have been informed by the manager of the
hotel Barcelo Santiago that as from 20/01/04 a construction firm has
begun building work just next door to the hotel. They are constructing
a new building, but are not certain how long this will take, although
they will keep the manager up to date with the progress. The first
phase of excavating will last approximately two weeks. They will begin
at 9.00 every morning from Monday to Friday. The building is on the
left hand side of the hotel as you face the sea. The hotel management
hopes that this will not cause any inconvenience to guests, but wishes
to keep them informed of the situation.
All Inclusive Food & Drinks:
There is a full board consisting of a Breakfast,
Lunch and Dinner served in the generous buffet style at the Main
Restaurant. Afternoon coffee, tea and cakes are served at the Pool Bar
from 15:00-18:00. Different Snacks such as French fries, hamburger and
sandwiches are served between 10:30-13:00 and 15:00-19:00 at the Snack
Bar. Unlimited selection of locally produced alcoholic drinks
including local beer and wine, soft drinks, tea, coffee and water is
available at the Main Bar from 10:00-23:00.

Table tennis; Fitness; Aerobics; Dance classes; Gymnastics;
